Lone Wolf Taekwondo has been operating for over 27 years through the Powell Recreation District and the Physical Education Department of Northwest College, Powell, Wyoming. Chief Instructor Master Chris Ivanoff and his staff provide quality instruction and service with the view towards health and well-being of each participant. Our philosophy ensures that learning will take place in a safe, fun and nurturing environment.
The program itself strengthens the body and improves your health through physical and mental conditioning. A gradual building process of safe and easy stretching techniques will enhance flexibility, while breathing and concentration exercises lead to sharper reflexes and senses. Exercising in taekwondo will lead you to a higher self-esteem and a happier, longer life.
Many individuals practice taekwondo to lose weight or increase their skills for better mobility. Other students in our school enjoy competing against students from other taekwondo schools in a friendly competition testing their skills. Taekwondo is the perfect way to learn a self-defense that works if the time is ever needed. As students progress in their training, they gain greater respect for themselves and others.
This activity is fun for everyone who is willing to accept a challenge and seek self-improvement.
All of our black belts are certified through the Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo Federation). This is the only black belt certifying and body that is recognized in Korea.
If you are a little bashful and have always wanted to try a martial art, please feel free to inquire with Master Chris Ivanoff about private lessons. This can be for one person or the entire family.
