Master Christopher Ivanoff
Chief Instructor Master Chris Ivanoff is a certified 6th Dan black belt with the World Taekwondo Federation (Kukkiwon). He began his involvement in taekwondo and hapkido in 1980 through the UC Berkeley Martial Arts Program Under the direction of Master William “Bill” House and Dr. Ken Min. Master Ivanoff was lucky enough to train from Master House while he was alive and teaching in Cody, Wyoming. In 1985, Master Chris Ivanoff founded Lone Wolf Taekwondo in Powell, Wyoming. Since that time Master Ivanoff has trained thousands of students in taekwondo through the Powell Recreation Department and the Northwest College P. E Department. Today Master Ivanoff attends every class that he possibly can and enjoys training those persons who truly want to improve their mental and physical well-being. Master Ivanoff is a 15 year veteran of the Park County Sheriff’s Office. Master Ivanoff is a patrol deputy and and has been a S.W.A.T. team member for the last 14 years. Master Ivanoff is an instructor in Custody Control and Officer Survival skills. In his spare time, Master Ivanoff and his wife Amy can be found creating large metal art sculptures, wall art and contemporary steel tables for Rising Sun Art Scultpures.
< Robert Hunt began his martial arts training when his father taught him basic techniques at a young age. His formal training began at the age of ten in Greybull, WY when he and his father joined a Taekwondo class through the city recreation department. During his high school years, Robert continued studying Taekwondo and took classes in other martial arts when taekwondo classes were not available. In 1992, he began classes through the Powell Recreation District after taking Master Ivanoff’s classes through Northwest College. He earned his 1st Dan in 1995 and began teaching classes through Black Hills State University as he earned his Language Arts Education degree. Upon graduating from BHSU, Mr. Hunt studied a variety of martial arts and earned his Master’s Degree in Theatre Production; his career brought him back to Powell where he resumed his training with Master Ivanoff. Robert earned his 2nd Dan in 2005 and continues to enjoy training. His other hobbies include spending time with his family and directing plays.
Vickie Prante and her sons, Jacob and Tucker, achieved 1st Black belt in July of 2010. Jacob and Tucker started taekwondo in 2005. In 2006 they challenged Vickie to start taekwondo. Vickie and her husband Bill moved to Powell from North Dakota in 1991. She graduated from NDSCS with a degree in Business Management and is now employed by Healthcare Systems Management as a certified medical coder. Vickie likes spending time with her family, camping, and toll painting.
When not busy with taekwondo, Jacob enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and playing basketball. Tucker also participates in football and band, and looks forward to hunting, camping and riding horses.
